This course explores how remote servers are used for storing and processing data, a technology that is essential for organizations to maintain flexibility and efficiency. Learning Outcomes

By completing this course you will be able to:

 

  • Recognise the features, benefits, and limitations of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and identify common examples of IaaS.
  • Recognise the features, benefits, and limitations of Platform as a Service (PaaS) and identify common examples of PaaS. 
  • Recognise the features, benefits, and limitations of Software as a Service (SaaS), and identify common examples of SaaS. 
  • Identify features and examples of Function as a Service (FaaS). 
  • Cite different models for implementing cloud computing in organisations and consider appropriate solutions and models for implementing cloud computing in a given scenario or situation.

 

By successfully passing the exam at the end of the course, you will also achieve a Certificate in Cloud Computing, an industry recognised qualification certified by ICDL.

Exams are taken online and are 45 minutes in duration. There are 32-39 questions with a pass mark of 75%.

Do I need specific hardware or software?

You will require access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Microsoft Windows (the most recent version is Windows 11). MacOS systems cannot be used for this course.
