Description

This course will help learners develop foundational skills in cloud computing, including understanding cloud architecture, deployment models, and business implications. Learners will be taught essential concepts, how to set up and configure cloud solutions, and how to leverage cloud technologies for business needs. By the end of the course, learners will be prepared for the CompTIA Cloud Essentials certification exam.  Cloud computing provides on-demand access to servers and storage via the internet with pay-per-use pricing. It is crucial for businesses due to its flexibility, cost savings, and ability to leverage advanced technologies without managing physical hardware.

Does the course have prerequisites? 

Learners are recommended to have around six months to a year of work experience as a business analyst in an IT environment with some exposure to cloud technologies.

What is the exam like for this course?

The CompTIA Cloud Essentials+ exam lasts 60 minutes and consists of up to 75 multiple-choice questions. It covers key areas such as cloud concepts, business principles of cloud environments, management and technical operations, and governance, risk, compliance, and security for the cloud. A passing score of 720 out of 900 is required.

Do I need specific hardware or software?

You will require access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Microsoft Windows (the most recent version is Windows 11). MacOS systems cannot be used for this course.
