This course operates on a fixed intake basis, with the course beginning on specific dates throughout the year. 

This course will open for registration on 28/04/2025 and will remain open until the course begins on 19/05/2025.

This course is for learners who want to explore the digital landscape and gain a foundational understanding of IT concepts and terminology. The primary goal of the course is to boost your confidence in online skills and learning. By participating in this course, you'll acquire the essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate online learning effectively. You will also benefit from weekly live sessions with a tutor, providing support and enhancing your learning experience throughout the course.

Learning Outcomes

By completing this course you will be able to:

 

  • Successfully navigate online environments
  • Understand the basics of computer hardware and computer software
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint within the Office 365 suite of programmes

 

By successfully completing this course, you will also receive a Certificate of Completion from Cenit College, the learning provider for this course.

This course is available to all adults over the age of 18 resident in the Republic of Ireland.

You can sign up for this course by visiting FETCH, Irelands Further Education and Training Hub. You will have to register for an account before you can begin the course.

There is no exam for this course, however you will be presented with a Statement of Completion upon your successful completion of all course content.

You will require access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Microsoft Windows (the most recent version is Windows 11) or MacOS (the most recent version is Sonoma).
