Description

This course provides learners with essential skills in JavaScript programming, focusing on dynamic web development, client-side scripting, and interactive user interfaces. Learners will gain expertise in creating responsive web applications and, after completing the course, can register for an exam to gain the ITS JavaScript certification.

Learning Outcomes

By completing this course you will be able to:

 

  • Write and debug JavaScript code for web applications
  • Implement client-side scripting for dynamic content
  • Create and optimize interactive user interfaces
  • Work with JavaScript libraries and frameworks

 

By successfully passing the exam at the end of the course, you will also achieve a IT Specialist in JavaScript (ITS-302) Certificate, an industry recognised qualification certified by Certiport.

Does the course have prerequisites? 

You do not need to have any background in JavaScript before taking this course, but you should already have significant experience in HTML and CSS before taking this course. If you don't already have this experience, you may wish to consider our IT Specialist in HTML and CSS course.

Does this course have tutor support?

Yes, this course is supported by an online tutor who you will have access to during the course.

What is the exam like on this course?

The IT Specialist in JavaScript (ITS – 302) exam is conducted online and lasts for approximately 50 minutes. All of the questions in the exam are multiple-choice, and the pass mark for the exam is 70%. As this is a closed book exam, course materials may not be used during the exam.

Do I need specific hardware or software?

You will require access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Microsoft Windows (the most recent version is Windows 11).
