Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a futuristic concept - it's here, and it's reshaping our world in real-time. From personalised recommendations on streaming platforms to AI-assisted medical diagnostics, the technology is becoming deeply woven into the fabric of our lives. Everybody needs to understand AI, recognising the benefits, risks, threats and opportunities. Our new courses in AI are designed to help you understand AI, and we will add new courses overtime to help you keep pace with developments in the use of AI.

Why we are launching new AI courses

Empowering through Knowledge: Understanding how AI was developed and how it works helps people to make informed decisions about the tools they use, the data they share, and the content they consume. We want everybody to have the information they need to protect their privacy, recognise misinformation, and use technology more effectively.

Ethical and Responsible AI: AI systems can unintentionally reinforce bias or make opaque decisions. When the public is informed they can demand transparency, advocate for fairness, and hold developers and institutions accountable. We believe ethical AI starts with an informed society.

Innovation and Inclusion: When AI knowledge is accessible, more people can contribute to AI innovation, enter AI related careers, and ensure diverse perspectives shape AI tools. Inclusive AI development leads to better, more equitable outcomes.

Building Trust: People are more likely to trust AI in healthcare, education, and public services when they understand how AI systems make decisions, what data is used, and who is responsible for outcomes. Transparency builds trust, which is key to successful AI adoption.

Safeguarding Democracy: The use of AI can shape public option through social media algorithms and other automated misinformation. An informed public is better equipped to spot manipulation and protect democratic values.
